Jesus Lambs of Grace
We currently have 18 children attending on Monday,
Wednesday and Friday in the 3K class. 15 children attending in the 4K
class. Currently 5 children are signed up to attend Summer Camp, keep the
calls coming. Next year's registration is already strong with 7 children
in the 2.5K class, 6 children in the 3K class and 7 children in the 7K class.
God continues to bless our program with more new families as well as families
that we have already had the opportunity to get to know. Thanks be to God!
The Week of the Young Child brought many
exciting experiences to the children. They played many games which used
specific motor skills. All the children received a certificate to Papa
Murphy's Pizza for a free 2 topping mini pizza for participating in our events.
Major Nickels came by on Wednesday and read his favorite story. "Duck for
President". We have more exciting activities planned for April and May.
One of the exciting events happening is our chicks are starting to hatch.
We can hear them inside the eggs. It's great fun to watch them dry off and
get all soft and fluffy and watching the children react to them as they get to
play with them. We'd like to thank Denise Haese for donating the eggs.
Choir
The choir, small groups, and soloists at Grace
serve to enhance our worship by bringing God's word to his people in song.
What a joy and privilege it is to praise our Savior through music and proclaim
the saving Gospel message! All members (adults and high school age) are
welcome to participate. There is no audition and you do not need to know
how to read music.
Meets September thru May

Usher Committee
The Pastor, greeters and ushers are the only
"officials" of the church apparent to newcomers. The usher's role is
especially meaningful to our church. The usher is a key person in our
attempt to make a good first impression on our guests. The ushers are
scheduled on a Sunday by Sunday basis according to early and late services on
Sundays and Monday evenings.
We wish to thank all of our members who willingly serve as greeters and
ushers. There can be a special feeling of satisfaction by being a friendly
outgoing person and welcoming all people into God's house.
We print the schedules ahead of time, with hopes that those selected can
mark their calendars or find your own replacement if necessary. This is
especially important on Monday evenings, when we seem to have the most
visitors to Grace. If you are unable to find someone to take your place,
contact either the church office at 682-7377 or Alan Ross at 684-5833 or
send him an email at
rossoa4@comcast.net. We thank you again for your willingness to service in
this welcoming ministry!

Repeat Performance
The retail store has been in business
since 2004 and is located behind Verlo Mattress and Country Kitchen in
Manitowoc. They accept donations of gently used clothing for all ages as
wells as household items. The store is staffed by members ( you can
have your schedule fit to your time frame) of area WELS churches who
volunteer to work as day managers, cashiers, and sorters. Profits benefit
Manitowoc Lutheran High School. The store is open from 9-5 Monday through
Saturday.
Volunteers are always needed to assist at our WELS
non-profit resale shop. We look for dedicated individuals from throughout
our Federation who support the mission of MLHS. Please call the store at
769-0017 or stop in to help with sorting, cleaning, fixing, testing or
displaying items.
Repeat Performance serves our Lord by recycling gently
used items and selling them at reasonable prices. Donations currently being
accepted are: clothing for all ages and genders, house wares, furniture,
books, magazines, toys, jewelry, sports equipment, crafts and collectibles.
Items we can’t accept include all large appliances, computers, sharp knives,
car seats or car parts.
Our receipts for the first 3 months of 2010 were up from last year which
means more support for MLHS. We are always looking for small
appliances to be donated and Saturday Volunteers are especially appreciated.
