Preschool ActivitiesUp-Coming events
June 1, was the start of summer camp! We’ve got 14 children signed up so far, and still
have room for more. The children range in age from 30 months to 9 years old.
New learning centers will be set up just for the Summer Campers — Lego
station, Video games, new manipulatives, brain-teaser puzzles, learning
games, imaginative building materials, stories, visitors and more.
We’ve set up themes for each
month. In June we will be blasting off into outer space with our “Space
Camp”. The children will look for exciting planets, make a spaceship, study
the stars, eat food just like the astronauts, learn about the international
space station, see what it is like on the space “shuttle,” go for a moon
walk, and have lots of hands-on learning.
July will bring us Safari Time!
We will be searching and finding animals on our own playground, and
surrounding property, as well as have lots of animal visitors. There will be
insects, reptiles, amphibians, and mammals to study. Dioramas, crafts, mask
making, play-acting, sounds bingo, and interesting animals to study and
interact with; will fill July with wonder and discovery!
August: We hit the high seas
with High Seas Expedition. We’ll be on board the S.S. JLOG for some
rollicking sea-faring adventure. But watch it matey, or you’ll be walking
the plank! There will be map skills, buried treasure, pirate talk, and games
of daring as well as a full week of Vacation Bible School, expanding
the theme.
“High Seas Expedition” is filled
with incredible Bible-learning experience kids see, hear, touch, and even
taste! Bible Point crafts, team-building games, cool Bible songs, and tasty
treats are just a few of the “High Seas Expedition” activities that help
faith flow into real life. Plus, we will help kids discover how to see
evidence of God in everyday life – something we call God Sightings. Get
ready to hear that phrase a lot! Kids will also participate in a hands-on
mission project. They will make a toy and it will be sent to other
children. Parents, grandparents, and friends are invited to join us
each day at 11:20 a.m. That’s when we’ll be having the Floating Finale — a
daily celebration of God’s love you won’t want to miss. VBS is
reasonably priced at $10.00 for the week (to cover the cost of materials
and snacks). Please call 682-7377 to register,
or register online at
