Psalm 145:18,19 The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them. How He answers: When we ask the Lord to take away a problem, he can help us in one of three ways. He can take the problem away in His time. He can allow the problem to remain, but give us the strength to bear the problem. Finally, the Lord can also take us away from the problem by taking us to himself in heaven. Isaiah 57:1 "The righteous perish and no one ponders it in his heart; devout men are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil."
Lord's Prayer Communion Worship God's Gifts Confession Inner Peace Thanksgiving Sharing the Gospel Love of Others For the Sick In the Morning Before Bed Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen Lord, I am not worthy to be a guest at your holy table, but you are the friend of sinners, and you will not cast me out. This bread is your body, which bore my sins upon the tree. This wine is your blood, which purifies me from all guilt. At your invitation, I come rejoicing. Receive me, my savior. O living bread from heaven, how richly you have fed your guest. The gifts you now have given have filled my heart with joy and rest. Lord, grant me that thus strengthened with heavenly food, while here my course on earth is lengthened. You have given me forgiveness life, and salvation. Let me always remain in you as a branch remains in the vine. Send me out in the power of your Spirit to live and work to your praise and glory. Heavenly Father, I have come to worship you. Draw near to me in your gracious word, and assure me of your loving kindness. Curb my wandering thoughts, that with undivided attention I may hear your voice and sing your praise. Gracious God, all that I have comes from you: my body and mind, my strength and intelligence, my time and abilities, my energy and possessions. Guard me from the temptation to use these gifts only for my personal benefit. Make me willing to use them joyfully in service to you and to your people. Father, I have sinned against you and am no longer worthy to be called your child. Yet in mercy you sacrificed your only Son to purge away my guilt. For his sake, be merciful to me, a sinner, and in the joy of your Holy Spirit let me serve you all my days. Forgive my open sins and my secret sins. Forgive the sins I know and those that I do not know. Forgive the sins I did to please myself and those I did to please others. Forgive them all, gracious Lord, for Jesus' sake. O God of peace, I turn aside from an unquiet world, seeking rest for my spirit and light for my thoughts. I bring my work to be sanctified, my wounds to be healed, my sins to be forgiven, my hopes to be renewed. In you there is perfect harmony. Draw me to yourself, and silence the discords of my wasteful life. Your greatness is beyond my highest praise. Take me out of the loneliness of self and fill me with the fullness of your peace. Come to me with your comforting Word, which alone can drive away my doubts. Direct me to my Savior, Jesus, that I may trust in him with my whole heart. Praise to you, maker of all things. You gave me life and breath. You sent your Son to cleanse me from sin and your Spirit to make me glad. Thank you for providing me with all that I need to live. Make me cheerful and trusting to bear whatever you let happen to me. From your hand I am willing to take good and the bad, the joy and the sorrow. Keep me from sin and comfort me with your kind Word. To you be honor and glory now and forever. Give me a caring heart, O Lord, to love and seek the lost. Overcome my fear and grant me courage to share my hope of salvation with those who have no hope. Make me faithful in my daily life so that all I say and do may glorify you. Too often I put my own concerns and priorities above your will and work. O Lord, rid me of my selfishness and fill me with the zeal to keep you first in my life. Lord Jesus, teach me to love others as you have loved me. Help me to be more patient and alert to the needs of others, and always ready to serve them with the gifts you have given me. Too often I forget how many in our world are homeless, poor and hungry. In your mercy relieve their suffering and pain. Remind me that when I help a person in need I am serving you. When bitterness, anger and strife become part of my life. Forgive my sins and renew my spirit so that I will pardon others, correct the mistakes I have made and be more cheerful toward those around me. Remind me through your Word that your Son's peace provides the needed hope and reason for healing and change. Almighty Father, giver of life and health I pray for all who are sick and suffering. Grant that in the midst of pain they may be comforted by your presence and sustained by your love. If it be your will, restore them to health. Lord in my day of trouble I called to you and you delivered me. Receive my humble tanks. Bless those who prayed for me and those who served me in my time of illness. Enable me to use all my days in grateful praise and service to you. I thank you, my heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, your dear Son, that you have kept me this night from all harm and danger. Keep me this day also from sin and every evil, that all my doings and life may please you. Into your hands I commend my body and soul and all things. Let your holy angel be with me, that the wicked foe may have no power over me. I thank you, my heavenly Father, that you have graciously kept me this day. Forgive me all my sins. Give your angels charge over those who sleep, tend the sick and give rest to the weary, pity the afflicted, soothe the suffering, bless the dying and all for your love's sake. I place into your hands unsolved problems and unfulfilled hopes, knowing that only what you bless will prosper. To your great love and protection I know that you are my sure defender.
