Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary (WLS)

Camp Phillip

OWLS
Organization of WELS Lutheran Seniors (OWLS) offers an active alternative to inactivity. Through involvement, fellowship, mutual support, life enrichment activities and service to others, OWLS members are encouraged and helped to be all that they can be... and maybe a little bit more.
WELS Kingdom Workers
WELS Kingdom Workers (WKW) Is a para-church organization that exists to assist the WELS mission divisions. WKW endeavors, under God, to inform WELS members of the needs and opportunities that exist in home and world mission fields; to encourage WELS members to become personally involved in mission work; to facilitate and coordinate volunteer efforts in mission fields; and to provide financial support for authorized, but yet unfunded, mission programs. WKW recruits qualified WELS and ELS lay people of all ages to provide time and talents through the three divisions of WKW: Builders For Christ, Christian Volunteer Corps, and Faith In Action. These mission assistants serve WELS congregations and missions across the United States and around the world.
Calvary Academy
Calvary Academy, a Christian boarding school located in South Milwaukee, WI, provides hope for hurting families. Presently, Calvary Academy students range in age from 11 to 18 years and come from WELS/ELS homes. The children who come to Calvary Academy are struggling with life, wrestling with emotional disturbance, and failing to serve Jesus. Typically, students have average to above-average intelligence. Their parents will have exhausted their resources for help.
New Beginnings, a Home For Mothers
New Beginnings, A Home for Mothers is located in the metro Denver area of Colorado and helps women from anywhere in the world. It provides a place for single mothers to start a new life. Whether the resident decides to become a responsible parent or place her baby in a loving adoptive home, she will be given the support and counseling she needs during that process.
